Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

Requirements include an active RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, BLS & ACLS, and at least 18 months of recent ICU experience. Benefits are provided, including housing and health coverage, with travel reimbursements and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and family education and support.
• Ensure functioning of life support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid changes in condition.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required.
