Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an ICU RN with MICU/SICU experience for a day-shift assignment in Milford, CT. Licensed CT or compact RN is required, with 2+ years ICU experience and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS). Epic EMR experience and ICU/ICU patient care are essential.

The role involves 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM), with every other weekend, 1:2 patient ratios, and floating to med/surg/critical care as needed. Vaccination requirements apply, and free parking is available.

Qualifications

• Active CT or compact RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Experience in Medical ICU and Surgical ICU settings.
• Proficient in IV therapy, arterial line and central line care/management.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• Work day shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 3x12 hours.
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratios; float to med/surg as needed.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and rapid response.
• Assist with ventilator management and sedation as required.
• Adhere to hospital safety and vaccination requirements.
