Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Upland, California. The position runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts as a Travel (ICU) role.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and holds ACLS and BLS certifications. Responsibilities include bedside care, meds administration, diagnostics, lab work, equipment monitoring, catheter care, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Must be able to travel to assignments in Upland, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and record prescribed medications.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work, order related tests, and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret displays.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters and tubing.
• Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
