Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU Travel Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Tucson, AZ. This position covers a 13-week engagement with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities include bedside care, medication administration, diagnostic testing, patient monitoring, and family education. Travel nurses enjoy weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and comprehensive benefits through TotalMed

Qualifications

ACLS and BLS certifications required.
1–2 years recent acute care experience.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

Provide basic bedside care.
Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work and interpret reports.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, and interpret and record electronic displays.
Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
