Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU travel nurse to join a 13-week assignment in Rockford, Illinois. This RN operates in a 12-hour night shift, providing critical care in an ICU setting as part of a travel role with a 36-hour weekly commitment.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and holds ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications, with additional certifications potentially required before starting.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• 2+ years of recent acute care experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work, order labs and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret displays.
• Ensure proper placement of catheters, leads and tubing.
• Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
