Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU Travel Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Evanston, Illinois. This 12-week ICU role requires 36 hours per week with a rotating 12-hour shift pattern.

The travel RN will provide direct critical care, implement physician-directed care plans, and support patient families in life-threatening situations. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and NIH or equivalent credentials.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification or equivalent may be required.
• 2+ years of recent acute care RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care in ICU settings.
• Administer and document medications, report adverse reactions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab work.
• Monitor critical patient status and adjust care plans as directed.
• Communicate patient conditions and updates to families.
