Job summary

Progeny HR Solutions LLC in Sanford, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Step-Down Unit. You will monitor patients transitioning from ICU, administer meds, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has an active Florida RN license, 2+ years in ICU or step-down, BLS/ACLS, and strong clinical judgment. Shift rotation includes days, nights, and weekends with a focus on patient education and safety.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Registered Nurse license
• 2+ years in ICU or step-down
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, lab results, and overall condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide updates on patients' conditions
• Educate patients and their families about their care plan and any necessary lifestyle changes
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
• Document all patient care and interactions accurately and thoroughly
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
