Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct and indirect patient care in the assigned unit. You will collaborate with physicians, leadership, and a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and ensure high quality care through critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate patient interactions.

The role requires nursing education through an accredited program, RN licensure, and BLS within 14 days of hire, with ACLS/PALS certifications

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN;BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS Specialty Certification preferred.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient appropriately based on medical condition.
• Know ordered medications and administer as prescribed.
• Provide care suitable to patient age and condition including basic self-care.
• Develop and evaluate a teaching plan with family involvement.
• Apply nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
• Assist physicians with procedures requiring technical skills.
• Address psychosocial needs of patients and family; coordinate with social services.
• Practice cost-effective use of supplies and resources.
• Prioritize patient care effectively and safely.
• Support lifelong learning in nursing.
