Job summary

Paris Regional, part of Lifepoint Health in Paris, Texas, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. You will provide direct patient care, perform plan-of-care interventions, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license, an associate degree in nursing, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire; one year of experience is preferred and additional certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
