Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a registered nurse to join the Memorial Shiloh ICU team in Belleville, IL. This PRN role supports high-acuity patient care in a Magnet-designated system known for nursing excellence.

You will work within the unit's care protocols, coordinate with specialists, and provide education to patients and families. The role requires RN licensure, a Nursing Diploma or Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred), and the ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Minimum Nursing Diploma or Associate degree.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2 years current ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ICU following nursing standards and care plans.
• Educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-discharge care.
• Collaborates with interprofessional team to implement, document, and communicate plans of care.
• Assesses patient needs, values, and barriers to care and adjusts plans accordingly.
• Performs safety-sensitive duties and adheres to regulatory requirements.
