Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of six months of clinical RN experience required.
• One year of RN experience in acute care strongly preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact; Texas license must be obtained within 90 days.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies nursing judgment through a thorough, systematic nursing process.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and plans individualized care.
• Plans, implements and evaluates a safe, effective nursing plan of care.
• Collaborates with the care team and communicates with physicians using SBAR.
• Prioritizes tasks, demonstrates critical thinking and maintains professional nursing standards.
