Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and direct patient care in a fast-paced ICU setting.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, discharge planning, and supervising unlicensed staff, while delivering excellent patient and family-centered care. Must hold NY RN license and BLS; BSN and critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school program
• Current, unrestricted New York State registered professional nursing license
• BLS upon hire, if not AHA must obtain within one week of hire date
• BSN from an accredited nursing school program
• National Certification
• Previous Critical Care Experience
• Previous Med/Surg experience

Responsibilities

• Performs a comprehensive patient assessment to identify patient and family needs.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive plan of care involving the patient and the family.
• Performs and documents direct patient and family centered care and patient education according to nursing standards of practice.
• Identifies and responds to patient conditions to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Performs discharge planning to ensure safe and appropriate transition of care.
• Directs and delegates care provided by unlicensed team members.
• Provides world class customer service to patients and families.
