Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU night shift on the West Bank. You will participate in the Nursing Process to deliver high-quality patient care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include RN licensure in the state, a nursing diploma (or higher), and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include an ADN/BSN and clinical specialty certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license in the state of practice.
• Education: RN Diploma required; 2nd option: Associate or Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required; clinical specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Nursing Process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients and families.
• Communicate, delegate and manage nursing team resources within the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Use data to evaluate care and promote improvements for outcomes.
• Support patient satisfaction and staff morale through professional conduct.
