Job summary

AdventHealth in Burleson, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our night shift in the critical care unit. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and administer medications with strict adherence to safety and protocols.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient responses, educating patients and families, documenting in the EMR, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

EKG knowledge (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements) [Required]
Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
EPIC [Preferred]

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
