Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead care in an ICU LTACH setting in the New Orleans area. The role requires nursing excellence, patient advocacy, and collaboration with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The position offers a 30K sign-on bonus and requires an RN license with a strong foundation in critical care nursing. BLS certification is required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN diploma required for licensure.
• BSN or AD/BS in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS from American Heart Association.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with health IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and adapt teaching for diverse patients and families.
• Lead and delegate to licensed and ancillary nursing staff; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure quality outcomes and apply standards of practice.
• Maintain culturally sensitive communication and professional accountability.
• Support unit/department goals and comply with policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
