Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Registered Nurse for their ICU in Boston on a per diem schedule. The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care in a 38-bed ICU, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

Strong communication and documentation skills are essential. Required are a nursing diploma/ASN/BSN, MA RN licensure, BLS, and ICU/med-surg experience; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ASN/BSN in nursing is required or preferred.
• Active MA RN licensure is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to interdisciplinary colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and enter data in the EHR.
• Follow BMCHS nursing department guidelines and policies.
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects.
