RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit in New Jersey. The role involves patient assessments, evidence-based care, and interprofessional collaboration to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, IV, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and ICU or med-surg/telemetry experience. Night shift, full-time schedule with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• The role requires an active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• IV certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.
• BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year ICU experience or 1–2 years med-surg/telemetry experience.
• Experience with EPIC EMR or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify changes early.
• Administer medications and treatments safely with clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families to support informed decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions.
• Contribute to a collaborative team focused on outcomes.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education.
