Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care from birth through the lifecycle, using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse will coordinate care with other staff and adhere to organizational policies while maintaining standards of practice.

The role requires Georgia RN licensure, BCLS, and appropriate certifications; new graduates are eligible, with additional specialty certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• No experience required; new graduates eligible.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting is preferred.
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions is preferred.
• RN – Georgia state licensure required (or NLC/eNCL Multistate).
• BCLS – Basic Life Support required.
• Advanced certifications in specialty areas may be required per unit addendum.

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care.
• Functions within organization policies and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
• Maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.
