Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) for a local contract at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. The RN will care for critically ill Veterans, monitor complex patients, and collaborate with intensivists and the ICU team during nights.

Ideal candidates hold an ACEN/CCNE-accredited nursing degree, Ohio RN license, BLS and ACLS, with at least two years of ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a VA ACEN/CCNE accredited nursing program at graduation.
• Current Ohio RN license or equivalent multistate license under NLC.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Minimum two years of direct patient care in ICU/critical care within last 3 years.
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies.
• Proficiency in assessment, med administration, and critical thinking.
• English-speaking Fluency.

Responsabilités

• Perform continuous patient assessments and monitor clinical changes.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill Veterans.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics.
• Manage central lines and assist with ventilation and respiratory support.
• Respond to emergencies and initiate interventions.
• Develop and update individualized care plans.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain timely electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families and provide emotional support.
