Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced ICU RN to join our high-acuity inpatient team in Texas. You will provide direct care to critically ill patients in the ICU, perform rapid assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of ICU experience, a current RN license, ACLS and BLS, and strong skills in EMR documentation, patient education, and rapid decision-making under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in good standing.

Job Details
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced ICU RN to join our dynamic healthcare team. This permanent position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within our state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit. You will be working alongside a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals, committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct care to critically ill patients in our ICU, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
2. Perform rapid assessments, prioritization, and escalation of care for acutely unstable patients.
3. Implement and manage complex clinical documentation within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in the titration of IV drips and acute patient stabilization.
5. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, ancillary staff, and management, to ensure the delivery of comprehensive patient care.
6. Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing assistants and other supportive staff in accordance with their competencies and scope of practice.
7. Educate patients and their families about their conditions and the care they are receiving, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an ICU RN, preferably in a high-volume, acute care setting.
2. A current Registered Nurse license in good standing.
3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
4. Proficiency in EMR documentation and complex clinical documentation (EHR).
5. Exceptional skills in patient & family education, delegation & team collaboration, acute patient stabilization, and intensive care.
6. Experience in the titration of IV drips, rapid assessment, prioritization, and escalation of care.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize with and support patients and their families during difficult times.
8. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
