As an ICU RN you will deliver comprehensive nursing care, administer medications and therapies, monitor advanced equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Wisconsin RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification; ACLS within timeframe.
• Strong critical thinking and communication.
• Ability to operate advanced patient care equipment.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care in ICU using nursing process.
• Perform ongoing assessments and respond to changes.
• Administer medications, infusions, blood products per policy.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, monitors, and pumps.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team for patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and plans.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly.
• Support orientation and training of new staff as requested.

Scheduling & Flexibility

As an ICU RN, you'll play a critical role in delivering advanced nursing care to critically ill patients while collaborating with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team.

• -Provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
• -Perform ongoing, detailed assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• -Administer medications, continuous infusions, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policy
• -Manage and monitor advanced medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps
• -Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and care team members to achieve positive patient outcomes
• -Educate patients and families with compassion regarding critical care treatments and plans of care
• -Respond promptly and professionally to patient needs, alarms, and call lights
• -Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies and life-threatening situations
• -Maintain a clean, organized, and healing patient environment
• -Participate in unit-based Quality Assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives-Support the orientation and training of new staff and nursing students as requested
• -Practice within the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

What We're Looking For

• -Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred
• -Active RN license eligible to practice in Wisconsin
• -Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
• -ACLS certification preferred or required within a defined timeframe
• -Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• -Ability to safely use advanced patient care equipment and meet physical and cognitive job demands
• -Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Pay & Differentials

• -$33.50 - $57.50 per hour, based on experience
• -Evening and night shift differentials
• -Weekend Program differential available
