Job summary

StaffDNA® is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join the ICU team. The role focuses on providing advanced respiratory care to patients with severe breathing disorders and life-threatening conditions, contributing to optimal patient outcomes.

You will work within a fast-paced ICU, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and participate in emergency responses, documentation, and patient education upon transition from the ICU.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in ICU settings is preferred.
• Professional licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) may be required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor ICU patients with respiratory conditions.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and life-support systems as prescribed.
• Administer aerosol medications and oxygen therapy.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing.
