Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse II to deliver individualized, goal-directed patient care in the ICU under general supervision. You will collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe, effective outcomes for patients and families.

This PRN role involves 12-hour shifts with variable weekly hours; an Associate's Degree in Nursing plus RN licensure and BLS are required, ACLS also required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or ARC CPR/Professional Rescuer.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) also required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care and interact with the health care team to achieve desired results.
• Work in ICU; comply with scheduling and hourly requirements for PRN positions.
