Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) invites applications for a Registered Nurse I to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process. You will work under general supervision on a 36-hour weekly schedule and rotate shifts with the multidisciplinary health care team.

This position emphasizes patient/family centered care, safety, professional governance, and ongoing clinical development; licensure and BLS are required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN hired after July 1, 2013 must enroll in BSN within two years and complete within four years.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver patient/family centered care considering physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural needs.
• Coordinate care and health teaching to promote outcomes and apply organizational policies.
