Job summary

CareWell Health seeks an ICU nurse to monitor patients in critical care, administer medications, and communicate with patients about their condition. You will review data from vital monitoring equipment and perform routine nursing duties in a high-acuity ICU setting.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree and a valid NJ RN license. BLS is required; ACLS preferred. Expect shift commitments including holidays and weekends with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Nurse must assess physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs.
• IV therapy initiation and maintenance responsibilities.
• Administer medications following the 5 rights.
• Coordinate care across departments and with Case Manager for discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough patient assessments.
• Identifies nursing needs including discharge needs.
• Intervenes to address problems and revises care plan as needed.
• Transcribes and executes physician orders accurately.
• Manages time and sets priorities.
• Initiates and maintains IV therapy.
• Follows the 5 rights of medication administration.
• Coordinates patient care and verifies physician orders.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activities for timely care.
• Ensures smooth interdepartmental transfers.
• Communicates with Case Manager for timely discharge and care quality.
