Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced full-time advanced clinical practitioner (ACNP/PA) to join their 8-bed ICU/pulmonary clinic team in Charlotte, NC. The ACP will collaborate with critical care physicians to manage acutely ill inpatients and follow patients in outpatient settings.

The role requires Board certification, NC NP/PA license, prescriptive privileges, and BLS/ACLS. Inpatient/outpatient duties include rounding, admissions, and procedures with a shift-based schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ACNP or PA program; NC license to practice as NP/PA.
• Prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
• Nurse practitioners: master’s or doctorate in nursing (ACNP) with certification; PAs: NCCPA cert.
• BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient management of hemodynamically complex, respiratory-compromised, critically ill patients.
• Outpatient clinic follow-up and new patient care for chronic lung disease.
• Daily inpatient rounding, admissions notes, progress notes, and procedures.
• Interpreting invasive line data and managing chest tubes and ventilatory support.
• Teaching opportunities with ACP fellows and nursing staff; overtime and CME offered.
