Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician in Newark, NY. The role supports an Intensive Care Unit, providing direct or indirect patient care and assisting with unit operations.

The individual will work 36 hours weekly with a 6pm-6am schedule, alternating weekends/holidays, under supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include vital signs, patient comfort, mobility assistance, and potential clerical duties related to patient charts.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals / CNA certification or related care program preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with unit functioning.
• Care for patients' basic needs including hygiene and mobility.
• Take vital signs and monitor patient conditions.
• Support care delivery team and communicate effectively with staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• May perform clerical duties related to patient charts.
