Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and direct patient care, supporting comfort, safety and personal needs on a unit team.

You will assist activities of daily living, perform hygiene-related procedures, and collaborate with licensed and non-licensed teammates on a self-directed unit-based care team. Evening shift 7p–7a; weekend/on-call not required.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• OR Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to support the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort.
• Works within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team and shares tasks with licensed and non-licensed teammates.
