Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Lead in the Medical ICU for the Night Shift in San Luis Obispo, CA. This leadership role reports to nurse management and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

You will lead and supervise nursing and support staff, coordinate care plans with patients and families, drive patient safety initiatives, and support staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required)
• Master’s Degree (preferred)
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership skills (required)
• 5+ years of clinical experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing and support staff
• Ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care
• Drive patient safety and satisfaction initiatives
• Coordinate care plans with patients, families, and care teams
• Support staff development and performance management
• Oversee daily unit operations and staffing based on patient acuity
• Mentor, coach, and evaluate nursing staff
• Participate in patient care as needed
• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Address patient concerns and enhance care experience
• Collaborate on policy development and operational improvements
