Job summary

Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Kentucky is seeking an ICU Nurse to deliver and coordinate high‑quality patient care. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to support patients and their families.

The role requires KY RN licensure or compact state, an associates degree (Bachelor’s preferred), BLS within 90 days, ACLS within 6 months, and at least one year of clinical nursing experience. We offer comprehensive benefits within the HCA Healthcare family.

Qualifications

• RN licensure by KY Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
• Associate's degree; Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• BLS required, and must be obtained within 90 days of employment
• Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer from non-ICU area
• At least one-year clinical nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• You will provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.
• You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• You will monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• You will assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families.

Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limited to: assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.
