Advanced Practice Provider – Critical Care

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Critical Care team. In this position, your primary responsibility is managing a caseload of critically ill patients in an intensive care setting under the direct supervision of the ICU supervising physician.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Utilize specialized skill and knowledge performing physical exams
  • Collect and properly document data utilizing EMR system
  • Conduct necessary procedures, including: central lines, arterial lines, vascaths, chest tubes, and intubations
  • Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations
  • Prescribe appropriate interventions and medications
  • Provide direct patient care services in a specific ICU or step-down unit
Qualifications

Graduate and licensure as a Physician's Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physician's Assistants with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board
