Job summary

Essentia Health's Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU/Intermediate Care Unit seeks dedicated professionals to provide high‑quality patient care in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota, working 0.75 FTE with rotating day and night shifts, every third weekend.

Applicants must hold an active RN license in Minnesota and have a BSN/ADN; BCLS and ACLS certifications are required within specified timelines, plus at least one year of Med/Surg experience. Join a team aligned with Essentia’s mission.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• BCLS certification within one month.
• ACLS certification within one year.
• Minimum one year RN experience in Med/Surg or Medical unit.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care by managing all phases of the patient care process.
• Delegate care responsibilities to nursing staff based on licensure and training.
• Support the facility's mission and Essentia's goals in the community.
• Adhere to Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Monitor critical conditions with advanced technology and clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals on care plans.
