American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a float pool position in Washington. This role requires 1+ year of ICU experience and WA or compact RN licensure, with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. The traveler will cover multiple ICUs and related units across the facility and occasional nearby hospital.

Expect 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and 3-week block scheduling. Strong telemetry and critical care skills are essential for patient care across diverse conditions.

Qualifications

• Active WA state or compact RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required.
• Strong ICU and float pool background for first-time travelers.

Responsibilities

• Float pool coverage across ICUs, PCU/CCUs, and ED holding.
• Occasional floats to a nearby sister hospital with notice.
• Care for COVID, neuro, trauma, medical and surgical patients including sepsis and pneumonia.
• CVICU cases include post-op CABG and related surgeries.
• ICU patient ratios: 1:2; PCU/CCU 1:4; ED holding based on acuity.
• Epic charting in use; orientation provided.
