Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU eICU in Madison, Wisconsin. This on-site role involves 12-hour rotating day/night shifts (7:00 am–7:00 pm and 7:00 pm–7:00 am) with weekend rotation, 90% FTE, at 8501 Excelsior Dr, Madison, WI.

Compensation includes shift differentials and a robust benefits package. The eICU team supports critically ill adults across multiple units and campuses within Wisconsin and Illinois.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Two years of eICU nursing experience required.
• RN license in WI or a compact license upon hire.
• ACLS within 6 months required.
• CPR/BLS certification upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual support from the Madison command center to critically ill adult patients regionally.
• Care for 35-40 patients per shift, monitor and respond to changing conditions.
• Collaborate with RNs, nursing assistants and intensivists to support acute and chronic care.
• Participate in quality improvement and mentor regional nurses.
