Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency is seeking an experienced Critical Care Veterinary Technician to join our Marietta hospital. This role focuses on ICU, emergency, and specialty patient care in a high-acuity environment, with opportunities to advance skills alongside a team of board-certified clinicians.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Emergency, ICU, Urgent Care, or Specialty veterinary experience.
• Strong triage, patient assessment, and emergency nursing skills.
• Proficiency with drug calculations, CRIs, anesthesia, IV catheter placement, and venipuncture.

Responsabilités

• Provide continuous monitoring and nursing care for critically ill and hospitalized patients.
• Perform frequent patient assessments and recognize changes in condition.
• Administer medications, CRIs, fluids, blood products, and other treatments.
• Manage IV catheters, fluids, urinary catheters, drains, and other care needs.
• Monitor fluid balance, urine output, pain, temperature, and respiratory status.
• Assist with ICU nursing, nutrition management, and record-keeping.
• Provide perioperative and postoperative monitoring for high-acuity patients.
