Job summary

The Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU) to provide high-acuity nursing care in ICU and critical care units.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, perform complex patient assessments, administer medications, manage ventilator and infusion therapies, and ensure accurate EMR documentation while maintaining infection control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure.
• Experience in ICU/critical care and ability to manage high-acuity patients.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and rapid decision-making.
• Competence administering medications and managing ventilator/infusion therapies.
• Effective collaboration with healthcare providers and teams.
• Thorough knowledge of infection prevention and compliance requirements.
• Accurate, timely EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care in ICU and critical care settings.
• Perform complex patient assessments, administer medications, and manage advanced therapies including ventilators and IV drips.
• Rapidly respond to changes in patient condition and coordinate urgent interventions as needed.
• Work closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective care.
• Maintain strict infection control practices and adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.
• Document all care and clinical findings accurately in the EMR.
