Job summary

North Shore Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care for adults and elderly patients with acute and chronic conditions. You will perform routine nursing tasks under RN supervision, maintain clean patient areas, and assist with supplies to ensure smooth unit operations.

The role requires a Florida CNA license, BLS certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current Florida CNA License.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Effective oral communication skills in English.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs nonprofessional nursing tasks in the care and comfort of adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic illness.
• Performs treatments/procedures under the direction of the RN.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient care areas, equipment and supplies.
• Restocks inventories and supplies to keep supplies readily available.
• May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by the department head or nursing supervisor.
• Adheres to regulatory and licensing guidelines (TJC, OSHA, CMS, etc.).
• Dedicates to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers.
• Interacts with patients, staff, physicians in a courteous, helpful manner.
