In partnership with the ICU medical director, this role balances direct patient care with administrative duties, driving quality, safety, and staffing efficiency while coordinating with nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care services in the ICU, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of critically ill patients
• Maintain high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management
• Participate in ICU call coverage and scheduling as required
• Support the ICU medical director in overseeing daily operations of the ICU program
• Assist with clinician scheduling, staffing models, and coverage optimization
