Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing or PA with Acute Care specialization.
• Active NP or PA license in the state of practice.
• Board certification as ACNP/AGACNP or PA.
• 2-3 years of experience in critical care preferred.
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients.
• Diagnose and manage acute and life-threatening conditions, including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, multi-organ dysfunction.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including ventilator management and advanced life support.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as chest X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, ABGs, and echocardiograms.
• Perform procedures including central line placement, arterial line placements, intubation, chest tube insertion, lumbar punctures, Vascath, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Cardioversion.
• Interpret data from complex monitoring systems (ventilators, blood gas analysis, CPAP, BiPAP, IABP, Impella, ECMO, pulmonary artery catheter).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and educate patients and families on recovery.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
