Job summary

HDR is seeking an ICT Security Technical Specialist in Chicago, IL. You will evaluate low voltage systems, prepare construction documents, and produce CAD-based design drawings under the supervision of a licensed engineer.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in engineering, knowledge of industry standards, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time position within HDR's Building Engineering Services Group, promoting collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported.
• Aptitude and hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline.
• Knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and apply state-of-the-art low voltage technology systems and designs.
• Assist in preparation of construction documents and specifications.
• Production of design drawings and calculations using CAD and other software.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and engineers as necessary.
• Perform engineering tasks under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
