Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Civil Engineer for site design and stormwater-focused work in Destin, FL. You will perform site design, conduct fieldwork, and develop detailed civil drawings while coordinating with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil/site development, stormwater, and permitting.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT desirable.
• Ability to develop and oversee civil drawings from sketches.
• Experience with site development permitting and environmental resource permits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and ICPR (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Performs and oversees civil engineering work focused on site design components.
• Conducts site visits, fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation.
• Prepares detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for site civil aspects.
• Performs stormwater calculations or modeling and integrates into design.
• Prepares and reviews technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
• Reviews contractor submittals for conformance with drawings and specifications.
• Provides and coordinates engineering services during construction.
• Serves as civil engineer for large multi-discipline projects.
