Citi in Getzville, NY seeks an experienced credit professional to assess fund counterparty risk and support underwriting. You will prepare memos, assign risk ratings, monitor exposure, and coordinate with BCMA, 2LoD and regional teams to keep risk within appetite.
You will analyze financial statements, apply Citi policies, and communicate recommendations for senior decision-makers while traveling occasionally to support risk initiatives.
Institutional Credit Management (ICM) is a critical component of Citi’s First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk (CCR) management. ICM works with Independent Risk teams to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, and client responsiveness. Key responsibilities of the group include credit analysis, documentation, risk identification, exposure monitoring and stress testing. ICM coordinates with credit management groups across Markets as well as Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory (BCMA) to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices.
Within ICM Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), ICM Funds Underwriting is a global team responsible for measuring, monitoring, and controlling counterparty risk for Funds, covering Investment Advisors as Agent, and Pension Funds.
Strategic orientation to ensure the ICM Underwriting organization continues to be positioned as a thoughtful and proactive partner on driving best practices to support safety and soundness within ICM and Citi.
BA/BSc in Finance or Accounting or higher degree in Business (MBA), or any other related subject.
2-5 years previous experience in a financial institution with a focus on credit analysis.
