Job summary

Ice in Paradise in Goleta, CA is seeking an Ice Sports Instructor to lead youth ice programs, clinics, camps, and private trainings. You will design and deliver coaching sessions across hockey, figure skating, or speed skating, while fostering a positive, competitive environment.

The ideal candidate has coaching licenses in progress, ISI/USFSA familiarity, and PSA membership, with the ability to work after-school and weekends. This part-time role reports to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Coaching licenses or actively pursuing them.
• Familiarity with ISI and USFSA skating programs.
• PSA membership in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Teach youth and group activities in ice sports, including hockey and skating.
• Develop and implement training programs; provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain safe environment and monitor athlete performance.
• Actively recruit new skaters and lesson participants.
• Prepare and record placement evaluations and certificates.
• Keep equipment in good condition and stay updated on best coaching practices.
