Job summary

City of Southfield Parks & Recreation Department is seeking an individual to operate the Zamboni and assist with ice arena duties. The role requires a responsible, team-oriented person capable of working evenings and weekends, with up to 40 hours per week.

Applicants must be at least 18 and hold a valid Michigan driver’s license. Training will be provided for equipment and arena operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid Michigan Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Drive Zamboni to resurface ice.
• Perform ice maintenance using Zamboni, edger, and other tools.
• Perform basic Zamboni maintenance (tires, blade, fluids).
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility at all times.
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance professionally.
• Handle cash, operate POS, and process card transactions.
• Keep accurate records of all work for continuity.
