Job summary

DSE Hockey Centers, LP is hiring for a maintenance role at the StarCenter in Plano, TX. The position requires hands-on ice and court maintenance to ensure high-quality space for public events and Dallas Stars activities. On-site work only, with variable hours including evenings and weekends.

The incumbent will perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing basics, and general building repairs, while keeping guest areas safe and clean and coordinating with facility staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver License.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Ice preparation and maintenance.
• Monitor mechanical systems.
• Complete daily checklists and communicate with facility staff.
• Change light bulbs and basic electrical work (GFI/lighting).
• HVAC basic tasks: change filters/belts.
• Plumbing knowledge for basic fixes.
• Maintain a clean environment for guests and staff.
• Prepare courts for practices, games, and tournaments.
• Assist with table/scoreboard and bleacher setup.
• Charge remote control boxes and store when not in use.
• Ensure equipment and hardware are in good working order.
