Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Zamboni Operator for Angel Of The Winds Arena Ice Rink in Everett, WA, responsible for safe operation of the ice resurfacer and maintenance to ensure top quality ice for a professional hockey team. The role covers the Angel of the Winds Arena ice sheet and Community Ice Rink Sheet, with an hourly rate of $22.00.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Zamboni Operator is preferred.
• Experience with operating heavy machinery is a plus.
• Solid understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
• Must be comfortable working in a cold environment for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods.
• Must be able to climb stairs/ladder.
• Ability to adhere to building policies and event requirements.
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions as well as communicate effectively with others.
• Must be able to work irregular hours including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide optimal ice conditions for all ice events.
• Responsible for maintenance and repair of rink equipment including, but not limited to: Zamboni, dasher system, subfloor, tempered glass, safety nets, and related components.
• Proper documentation of maintenance and ice measurements.
• Assist with ice installation and removal.
• Assist the Operations department to expedite event conversions.
• Other duties as assigned.
