Legends Global in Florence, SC is seeking an experienced Ice & Maintenance Manager to lead general maintenance and oversee ice production for skating events. The role includes supervising Operations and Housekeeping during ice builds, and ensuring safety and equipment upkeep.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, ice-building experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. On-site role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 2 years of related experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Management or Maintenance Engineering preferred
• Direct ice-building experience for skating preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and repairs.
• Oversee ice build and maintenance, including freezing floor, painting base color, lines and logos, and ice sheet construction.
• Maintain and track ice levels, temperature, humidity, glass, and dasher walls.
• Prepare ice for practices, games, and events, including debris removal and resurfacing.
• Supervise Operations and Housekeeping teams during ice builds or cleaning.
• Operate ice resurfacer and ice edger; maintain shop equipment with safety in mind.
• Record and log all work, complete work orders, and submit reports timely.

## Ice & Maintenance ManagerApply: Florence, SC: Full time: Posted Today: R100125978Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician at the Florence Center.**Summary:**This is a hands-on position performing general maintenance duties to keep the facility in good operating condition.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**· Perform general building maintenance to include painting, carpentry, plumbing, electric, and repair.· Works at the direction of Director of Facilities for ice build and maintenance, overseeing installation of ice, which includes freezing floor; painting base color, lines and logos; and building –up the ice sheet.· Maintain and track ice levels, temperature, humidity, glass, and dasher walls· Perform projects that include working with sheetrock, wall vinyl, etc.· Prepare ice for all practices, games and other ice events. Duties include removing debris; checking ice depth; scraping, edging and resurfacing ice.· Supervise and manage Operations and Housekeeping teams as delegated by Director of Facilities during ice builds or house cleaning.· Operate and maintain the ice re-surfacer and ice-edger.· Maintain shop equipment and workstation with attention to safety and housekeeping.· Perform preventative maintenance on various pieces of mechanical equipment.· Follow all safety rules and regulations.· Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment.· Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately.· Record and log all work performed, complete work order slips and compile all required reports in a timely and complete manner.· May occasionally have to enter areas where fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals are present.
