Job summary

Legends is seeking a part-time seasonal Ice Deck server in Denver to greet guests and provide exceptional service during Avalanche games. You will guide guests to Team Store access, bathroom locations, and answer inquiries while maintaining a cordial demeanor.

Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating with kitchen staff and bartenders, delivering meals and beverages, brewing coffee, and managing beverage/snack setups.

Qualifications

• Availability to work long hours and flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays during home games.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
• Must maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance standards.
• Ability to work independently or in a team during setup and execution of service.
• Willingness to exceed guest expectations.
• Ability to listen and take direction from supervisor.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Ability to transport up to 50lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy trays (30lb) and carry 100 feet.
• Push/pull carts to 50 pounds; work in loud, crowded environments.
• Understand and follow directions in English.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TEAM Coalition Alcohol Management Certificate

• Take verbal orders and relay them to kitchen staff and bartenders, then deliver orders and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Brewing coffee, setting up a hot beverage bar and snack table, cleaning menus, and resetting tables.

Ice Deck Server is an elevated experience for up to 8 guests during Avalanche games.

Responsibilities:

• The Part-time seasonal role Ice Deck server is functionally both a server as well as concierge for guests from the time they arrive until they leave Avalanche Games. If guests have questions regarding Team Store access, bathroom locations, or other inquiries, the Ice Deck server is expected to guide and advise them on these topics while maintaining a cordial and welcoming demeanor.
• During service, the Ice Deck server will take verbal orders from guests and bring them to kitchen staff at InSeat Kitchen and/or assigned bartender. Then will then deliver each order and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Other responsibilities include brewing coffee, setting up a hot beverage bar and snack table, cleaning menus, and setting or resetting down tables.

Qualifications:

• 100% Availability to work long hours and flexible shifts including: nights, weekends and holidays during Nuggets or Avalanche games. The calendar of Avalanche and Nuggets home games can be found here.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency .

• Must maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance standards.
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting during set up and execution of service.
• Willingness and drive to exceed the guest expectations.
• Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisor.
• Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Ability to transport up to 50lbs on a continuous basis
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods for a majority of the shift.
• Ability to lift heavily laden trays of dirty dishes and food or beverages(30lb) and carry 100 feet.
• Ability to push/pull carts to 50 pounds. Ability to work in loud, crowded environments.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and guest requests in English.
• Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TEAM Coalition Alcohol Management Certificate

This is a season role, with shifts throughout the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets pre, regular, and post season. Please look at schedules online. This is primarily for evenings and weekends and we often have game on holidays.
