Sea Turtle Scoops at Dune House Hotel & Spa is seeking an Ice Cream Specialist to warmly greet guests, scoop ice cream, and serve beverages with consistency and care. You will operate the POS, maintain clean work areas, and restock supplies to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced coastal shop.

The role emphasizes guest delight, teamwork, and attention to food safety standards in a lively Atlantic Beach setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of food handling and sanitation practices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard procedures.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Team oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, scoop, and serve ice cream, beverages, and related menu items in accordance with established standards and recipes.
• Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner, take orders accurately, and provide an engaging customer experience.
• Operate point of sale system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and service counters in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Restock supplies, ingredients, and merchandise as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and local health regulations.
• Monitor product quality and report any issues to management.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Respond to guest questions, concerns, and feedback to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Develops enthusiastically satisfied customers all the time.
• Provides quality frozen treats consistently for all customers.
• Maintains quality shop operations.
• Contributes to shop profitability.
• Takes responsibility to learn all aspects of the Ice Cream Scooper position
• All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
