Job summary

Toledo Ice Cream, a DFA company, is seeking skilled Machine Operators to maintain, break down, and set up equipment while troubleshooting basic to moderate issues. You will process materials, follow GMP, and coordinate with departments to meet daily deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year machine operator experience in a plant environment (food plant background highly preferred).
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks.
• Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and in a wet environment.
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime and occasional Fridays/holidays.
• May be exposed to nut allergens in ice cream plants; peanut allergies must be disclosed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up equipment and machinery, perform adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
• Process finished or raw materials following GMP and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to meet daily deadlines.
• Monitor production and report issues to minimize downtime.
